The goals and purposes of the Southern Cortes Community Association are to:
- Foster a spirit of cooperation in the community.
- Carry out necessary projects for the benefit of the community.
- Contact and negotiate with agencies outside the community on behalf of the community.
- Be responsible for the regulation and maintenance of the Community Hall.
- Promote activities of a recreational and beneficial nature.
- Aid and assist in all charitable work.
- Be responsible for the regulation and maintenance of the Manson’s Landing Cemetery.
- Operate a licensed playschool.
