The Mansons Landing Post Office, located at the main entrance of the hall, is open four days a week. Phone 250-935-0253. The Mansons postmaster will greet you at the wicket during the following times:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 7:30 – 11:00am & 12:30 – 4:30pm
Statutory Holidays – Closed
If a statutory holiday lands on a Monday, mail will come in and go out on the following Tuesday. However, on Tuesdays mail doesn’t arrive until 2:30pm.
Keep in mind that wicket hours are weather dependent. Mansons Landing Post Office is fully automated which means that if there is no power, there is no mail. In addition, if ferries aren’t operating due to bad weather then mail won’t arrive at the Post Office until Maggie can make it to town again.
The Mansons Landing Post Office has been in existence since 1941, although originally it was the Cortes Island Post Office which opened in 1893 and again in 1904 after a 6 year closure.
