Space Rentals at Mansons Hall

We have affordable and multi-functional venues for your special event, meeting, workshop, concert, party or class.  Individuals and organizations that are current members of the SCCA may rent any of the spaces at a discount. Ongoing weekly rentals that run 3 months or longer, between September 15 – June 15 are discounted 50%. 

The Main Hall

The Main Hall is a multi purpose space ideal for events of all kinds including celebrations, dances, workshops, shows, children’s programming, fitness classes and meetings. It offers a variety of amenities including a stage with lighting, an LCD projector, a professional sound system with mixing boards and microphones, tables and chairs, and an upright piano. 

Main Hall rentals include the use of the Hall Kitchen which has a fridge, stove, mugs and glassware, plates bowls and cutlery. There is a also a double wide commercial refrigerator included.
The Main Hall with Hall Kitchen has a floor area of 2100 square feet which includes a 12′ x 26′ stage. For access to a full-service kitchen, the larger Cafe Kitchen can be rented alongside the Main Hall. 

RATES:
$30 per hour / $25 per hour for members  
$175 per day / $150 per day for members

LCD Projector & Screen – $25 or $10 with sound system.
Piano – $30 per event.
Mirrors – $30
Stage Lights – $15, or included with sound / projector.

The Pioneer Room

The Pioneer Room has tables and chairs providing seating around tables for 24 people, and up to 40 people in chairs with tables pushed back, it is an ideal  space for meetings and workshops. The Cafe Kitchen, which has a service window into the Pioneer Room, can be rented along with the Pioneer Room, turning the space into a perfect venue for food service.
As well, there is access from the Pioneer Room onto the covered deck complete with outdoor tables and chairs. The Pioneer Room has 24’x26′ of floor space.

RATES:
$25 per hour / $20 per hour for members  
$80 per day / $60 per day for members

The OM Studio

The OM studio is a beautiful space used for movement, meditation and healing classes, as well as workshops and art shows. The OM studio has yoga props available for use with the rental. 

The Om Studio has 24’x26′ of floor space.

RATES (2 hour minimum):
$20 for 2 hrs / $15 for 2 hrs for members
$100 per day / $80 per day for members

The Cafe Kitchen

The Cafe Kitchen is a Vancouver Island Health Association certified food preparation facility with all commercial equipment and stainless-steel surfaces. Equipment includes three fridges, a vertical freezer, a dishwasher with two accompanying sinks, a separate hand-wash sink, food preparation and services supplies, and a double range with 6 burners, a flat grill and two ovens.
The Cafe Kitchen may serve the Main Hall, the covered outside deck, and / or the Pioneer Room. The Cafe Kitchen has 24’x26′ of floor space.

RATES:
$25 per hour / $20 per hour for members 
$120 per day / $100 per day for members 

The Main Hall Kitchen

The Main Hall kitchen has a fridge, stove, mugs and glassware, plates, bowls and cutlery. It is included with Main Hall rentals or can be rented without the use of the Main Hall.

RATES:
$15 per hour / $10 per hour for members 
$80 per day / $60 per day for members

The Pavilion

The Pavilion is a covered outdoor space or performance venue perfect for live music events, community workshops and more. Pavilion rentals include use of the surrounding grounds, benches and picnic tables. 

RATES:
$25 per hour
$150 per day

Facility Restrooms
$15 per hour / $60 per day 
(restrooms are located in Mansons Hall). 

Mansons Hall Short Term Rental Information

Hours of Operation

All event activities must cease by 1am. The building and premises must be locked and vacated by 2am. No person(s) may stay in the hall overnight.

For events where guests are leaving the building after 11pm, we ask that guests please be respectful of our residential neighbours and exit the building quietly, without congregating or loitering in the outdoor areas.

Insurance Requirements

Depending on the scope of the event and the associated risk, the renter may be required to obtain Commercial General Liability Insurance in order to protect the SCCA against third party claims for bodily injury, death, or property damage arising out of the activities conducted by or on behalf of the rental group. Satisfactory insurance must be received by the SCCA administration prior to use of any facilities covered under this rental agreement. The rental group/lessee is responsible for obtaining, at its own cost, any additional insurance required by law or deemed to be necessary to protect its interest.

Liquor License

To serve alcohol, the rental group must receive staff approval and obtain a liquor license from the Province of British Columbia which indicates the time and date of the event and the name of the space booked. Alcohol is not permitted outside the rental space identified on the liquor license. Failure to comply will result in loss of rental privileges. One copy of the liquor license must be submitted to staff seven (7) days before the rental group’s respective event. In addition, a second copy of the liquor license must be posted by the renter in the serving area. Failure to provide a copy of the liquor license to staff or post it in the serving area will result in the loss of liquor privileges. To serve alcohol, an individual with a valid “Serving it Right” certificate must be present at all times. APPLY HERE 

Food Service Permit

All events that will be selling food and/or hiring food servers must obtain a valid Temporary Food Service Permit from Island Health which indicates the time and date of the event and the name of the space booked. Renters hosting events with a potluck-style buffet at which food is not being sold (and without paid servers) may inquire with staff about an exemption. Gambling Event License

All events with 50/50 draws, bingo, or raffles, must obtain a valid Gambling Event License. One copy of the license must be submitted to staff seven (7) days prior to the rental date. Find the application HERE
